Zinthia Lopez Vazquez is a biologist graduated from the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, specialist in environmental education and birdwatcher. She holds a Master’s degree in Science for Development, Sustainability and Tourism from the Universidad de Guadalajara.
She is a founding member and was the first president of Amazilias, Network of Women Birdwatchers in Mexico. She has worked in different civil organizations focused on conservation, environmental education and community development in Mexico and currently provides consultancy services for socio-environmental projects and develops tourism products focused on birdwatching. She is also a field guide for birdwatchers in Nayarit and Veracruz, Mexico.
