Mariana Mireles moved to San Diego from Tijuana, Mexico at the age of three. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Child Development from San Diego Mesa Community College and a B.S. in Child and Family Development with a specialization in Family from San Diego State University. Throughout her undergraduate education, Mariana interned at various preschools and youth development centers, teaching and observing children’s behavior and development. She designed lessons that aligned with the center’s curriculums, made connections with students and their families, and encouraged children to reach their full potential. Mariana joined Ocean Connectors in 2021, where her responsibilities include assisting with educational programs, field trips, and administration. Mariana has a strong passion for early childhood education and teaching about topics pertaining to the environment, social justice, and spreading kindness. She is certified in CPR and First Aid.
