Kaylee Acosta is from Corona, California, and has lived in San Diego since attending college. She graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Environmental Science in 2020. Kaylee has had a passion for wildlife since she was young, and started incorporating her love for animals and the environment into her career throughout school. She worked as an Animal Care Intern and as an Aquatic Specialist where she built skills in animal husbandry, management, research, and customer service. She also attended a Marine Conservation volunteer program in Barcelona to clean up ocean plastics. Kaylee hopes to share her knowledge of the local environment with today’s youth and inspire them to love and care for the coast and all of its inhabitants. She is certified in CPR and First Aid.
