Be a Roadrunner: Run with Ocean Connectors

Run with Ocean Connectors on Dec. 11!
It’s time to lace-up for a good cause! On December 11, 2016 Ocean Connectors will be one of 21 local nonprofit causes participating in the Everywon San Diego half marathon and 5K community race. We need YOU (and your friends and family) to join our team!

The Everywon philosophy is “community improvement through movement”, and Ocean Connectors is excited to bring this unique fundraising opportunity to our local community and to raise thousands of dollars to support our environmental education programs in National City. Everywon is launching in San Diego and East San Francisco Bay in 2016, and they are projecting to expand to 30 or more cities by 2020.

Unlike other races, fundraising is the main purpose of Everywon, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the official causes. Race participants pay the race fee (only $35 for the 5k and $65 for the half marathon until August 31st – don’t miss the “early bird” deal!), and pledge to fundraise a minimum of just $100, which goes to Ocean Connectors. This event will bring people together around a fun, healthy outdoor activity and positive social purpose.

We need 50 people to run for Ocean Connectors! You can choose to participate in either the half marathon or the 5k community race – just choose Ocean Connectors as your cause.

There are three ways to sign up:

  • Register for the 5k or half marathon as an individual, and choose Ocean Connectors from the list of causes. You will just be charged for race registration, which is only $35 for the 5k and $65 for the half marathon through the end of August.
  • Form a team. Teams are 4 or more people, and the cost per person is more affordable (the larger the team, the higher the discount!). The person forming the team pays registration for the total number of runners on the team. Once the team is created, each runner receives their own individual registration code and picks their cause.
  • Corporations and businesses can purchase registration codes that can be given out to individuals and employees. These codes tie the runner to a cause of their choice, and the runners may choose the distance they wish to run (either half marathon or 5k community race).

Invite all your contacts to get outside and run through beautiful San Diego, California for Ocean Connectors on December 11! Please contact with any questions about race registration.
