Beverly Hayes has served the community of National City as a teacher and an administrator for the National School District for the majority of her work life. She received her B.S. in Education from Ohio University and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Point Loma Nazarene University. She holds a California teaching credential and an administrative services credential. Beverly’s previous role as a principal for two of the District’s elementary schools and her present role as Director of Educational Services has allowed her to be part of designing and implementing instructional programs that support the academic success of National School District students. Beverly was recognized by the Association of California School Administrators in 2018 as the Region 18 (San Diego and Imperial Counties) Elementary Principal of the Year and as the State of California’s 2018 Elementary Principal of the Year. Beverly believes that reaching out and connecting with students while building relationships with staff and community are integral to the success of every child.
